Tadej Pogacar conquers Stage 7 of Tour de France
Soudal Quick-Step's Tim Merlier celebrates winning stage 3 of the 2025 Tour de France - Valenciennes to Dunkirk - Dunkirk, France - July 7, 2025 Defending and three-time champion Tadej Pogacar won Stage 7 of the Tour de France on Friday and reclaimed the yellow jersey.
It was the second stage win of this year's competition and the 19th of the Slovenian cyclist's Tour de France career.
Denmark's Jonas Vingegaard finished second in the hilly, 197-kilometer ride from Saint-Malo to Mur-de-Bretagne Guerledan. Scotland's Oscar Onley was third.
Pogacar surged to the top of the overall rankings, followed by Belgium's Remco Evenepoel and Frenchman Kevin Vauquelin. Matteo Jorgenson is the leading American in the race in sixth place.
Stage 8 on Saturday is a flat 171.4-kilometer trek from Saint-Meen-le-Grand to Laval Espace Mayenne. International cycling's premier 21-stage race will conclude on July 27 in Paris.
